Owl City ‘Ocean Eyes’ review.
At first view, you would think that Owl City is just an ordinary band with some dumb-asses playing sick notes on guitar, and saying things that shouldn’t be said or simply, are not things. But for this one, Owl City offers an album that will take you instantly into the dreamy world, where the words ‘Seeing is Believing’, is proven not a myth. Owl City only consists of 1 person, with the name of Adam Young, who in life, suffers from insomnia. Well, that explains why he says unreal things. ‘Cave In’ and ‘The Bird and The Worm’ started thing off, talking about plain dreamy stuffs, love this and love that. The highlight of the album, ‘Hello Seattle’, talks about some weird shit but it kinda gets you into the song, which is weird.
“Hello Seattle, I am a mountaineer, through the hills and highlands”, as he exhaled on ‘Hello Seattle’. Then, he slows down a bit on ‘The Saltwater Room’, and he instantaneously glistened into rushy guitar sounds, accompanied by the voice of Breanne Duren. ‘Dental Care’ comes next, talking about his experience on taking a trip to the dentist. It may come as dumb at first, but it sticks in your head for a while.
